§Ownership · Business succession

When you're ready to step back, who runs the business next?

You've spent years building a company that customers rely on and people come to work for. If retirement is on your mind, or there's no obvious person to take over, we'd like to hear about it. We look to buy profitable owner-led businesses and take responsibility for running them.

No documents needed for a first conversation. Northern Sweden first.

Be clear about our role

We would be the buyer, not your adviser.

i8 next also offers paid advisory work to business owners. This page is something different. Here we are a prospective buyer, and our interests in a deal are not the same as yours.

So we will not value your business on your behalf or advise you on the sale. Get independent legal, tax and financial advice from people who work for you. We are happy to deal with them directly.

01What we look for

Sound businesses that work on an ordinary Tuesday.

Our focus is Northern Sweden, where we can be present and run things properly. An exceptional fit elsewhere in Sweden is worth a conversation.

01Profitable today
A business that earns money on its normal operations, not one that depends on a turnaround story.
02Real customers
Customers who come back because the product or service is good, ideally spread across more than a handful of accounts.
03A team worth keeping
People and routines that work. We are not looking for a business that has been dressed up for a sale.
04An owner thinking ahead
Retirement, no obvious successor in the family, or simply a wish to step back over the next few years.

02How it usually starts

Finding a buyer is one part. The harder part is the years after.

  1. 01

    A first, discreet conversation

Tell us the sector, the town, roughly how the business runs and your timing. You do not need a sale memo, a valuation or prepared documents.

  2. 02

    Is there a fit?

If it looks promising, we ask for more information under terms we agree before you share it. If it does not fit, we say so plainly.

  3. 03

    Structure and handover

Price, ownership share, timing and your role during handover are worked out case by case. Transaction partners may be involved on our side.

  4. 04

    The business after you

The real work starts when you step back: making sure the company runs well without depending on you every day.

A conversation is not an offer, and an offer is not a completed sale. We cannot promise that a deal will happen, a particular price, or that every arrangement in the business stays as it is today.

03Discuss selling your business

Start with a few lines.

Sector, town, roughly how many people work there, and when you are thinking of stepping back. That is enough.

Please do not send accounts, customer lists, employee details or other sensitive information through this form. We will agree how that material is handled before you share it.
